The Draft ASEAN Regulatory Framework on Traditional Medicines and Health Supplements (TMHS) seeks to create a single ASEAN market and reduce restrictions to trade of TMHS.

It provides that Member States shall undertake all necessary measures to ensure that only traditional medicines and health supplement products that conform to the provisions of the Agreement and its Annexes may be placed on the market. The Draft Framework will be further discussed in November 2012. It provides harmonised regulations on TMHS products regarding:

Member States are expected to model their national TMHS laws and regulations on the regulatory framework by 31 Dec 2014.
