Dr. Janjira Intra
Corporate Council Chair

Janjira Intra worked in a myraid of different professions. She is currently the Technical Regulatory and Quality Assurance Deputy Director of Amway (Thailand) Ltd. She is a specialist in developing solid-dosage products and took on leadership roles in many professional memberships and activities, making her very well-rounded product development, nutraceutical and pharmaceutical scientist. Before her current appointment, Janjira served as the head of Himalaya Global Research Centre in Dubai, UAE where she set up the R&D centre, recruited and led the team of scientists involved in dietary supplements, cosmetics, personal care and home care products. She is able to push boundaries and is not afraid to strive to better herself. Throughout her course of studies, Janjira achieved multiple research developments, which catapulted her career. Between 2012 - 2013, she participated in the development and global launch of calcium supplements of $200M USD SKU for Nutrilite/Amway. Janjira has also published several research papers and owns several patents.

Mr. Arun Mishra
Corporate Council Vice Chair

Arun Mishra heads Global Regulatory Affairs for Health & Wellbeing business of Unilever. He is a senior global regulatory expert bringing a strong diverse international regulatory experience of over 22 years leading regulatory strategy and support for dietary supplement, functional nutrition, OTC drugs, medical devices and prescription medicines. Previously he worked as Executive Vice President, Regulatory Affairs for GSK Consumer Healthcare where he successfully led regulatory affairs for fast growing OTC and supplement business. Prior to GSK Consumer Healthcare he was heading regulatory function for Abbott and Senior Director Regulatory Affairs (Emerging markets) for GlaxoSmithKline based at the HQ in UK, where he was responsible developing and leading regulatory strategy for Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific.  He has also worked for Pfizer Global R&D in UK, and as Head Regulatory Affairs for Pfizer India. Arun has successfully led global regulatory strategies for number of consumer healthcare products and new medicines that are ‘blockbuster’ now. 

Arun is on various national committees to shape the external regulatory environment and visiting faculty for various national and international institutes. For example, he is a Member, Scientific Body, Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India; and Visiting Faculty, Centre of Regulatory Excellence Duke-NUS Medical School, Singapore.

Arun holds a Bachelor degree in Biology, Masters in Pharmaceutical Medicine from Ireland, another Masters in Biology from Netherlands, and a degree from Harvard in Leadership & Authority.

Ms. June Fu
Council Member

June Fu has over 18 years of experience in Regulatory Affairs for APAC region and ASEAN cluster. Skilled in cosmetic, health supplements, OTC, medical device, food, household and consumer goods. Strong regulatory professional with a bachelor’s degree (First Class Honour) major in Biochemistry from National University of Malaysia. She led the Regulatory Affairs function previously for Dairy Farm Group and was responsible to setup the Malaysia Hub for emerging markets such as Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Cambodia, Myanmar and Taiwan, while was heading the core markets such as Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau and China. During the COVID pandemic in 2020, she participated in the Kimberly-Clark’s acquisition of Softex Indonesia, a leader in the fast-growing Indonesian personal care market, an all-cash transaction for approximately $1.2 billion. She was leading the pre-acquisition due diligence for Regulatory Affairs, Quality and Product Safety as well as post-acquisition integration.  

June witnessed and participated in the major progress of ASEAN Cosmetic Directive which is part of the ASEAN harmonization. Her enthusiasm in ASEAN harmonization will bring advantages to the industry and associations.

Dr. Doreen Tan, PBM
Council Member

Doreen Tan is the elected President of the Health Supplements Industry Association of Singapore (HSIAS) and has been an executive member of AAHSA since 2009. She is President and co-founder of Best World International Ltd. With 35 years experience in this industry, she has a rich professional knowledge of beauty and nutrition. She holds a degree in Applied Nutrition from the American Academy of Nutrition. Her extensive knowledge, combined with her deep understanding of consumers' needs, have led her to serve as Best World Group’s key product specialist.

Ms. Srilatha Sreepathy 
Council Member

Srilatha Sreepathy is a qualified Pharmacist by profession and has over 15+ years  of experience in Regulatory Affairs, Pharmacovigilance, Quality Compliance and Product Development in Australia & Singapore . Her experience in Regulatory Affairs includes OTC, Health Supplements, Medical Device & Ethical products across APAC. Her interests are in down scheduling and evidence-based use of Complementary and Alternative Medicines. Apart from work, she loves to travel and explore different cultures and enjoys doing yoga. She finds great joy in connecting with people to bounce ideas & share experiences.

Ms Alicia Ng
Council Member

Ms. Alicia Ng is currently the Vice President R&D Head of Wider Asia and leads a R&D team of 140 people in innovation & development regulatory affairs medical affairs analytical sciences in the region. Alicia has over 25 years of experience working in a wide range of R&D functions including product design formulation and development regulatory & scientific affairs in the diversified portfolio of consumer healthcare ranging from OTC drugs health supplements health functional food FSMP and specialized nutrition.  Alicia spent 13 years in Nestlé working from 4 sites where she was Head of Regulatory Affairs and Advocacy for Nestlé Health Science for Asia Oceania Middle East & Africa and Group Manager at the Singapore Nestlé R&D Centre. She was also Regulatory Advisor at the Nestlé Research Centre in Lausanne as well as Global Regulatory Affairs Expert at the Nestlé global head office in Vevey Switzerland.  Engagement at the health supplements industry level for Alicia dated back to her Suntory (then Cerebos) days when she was part of the foundation team of HSIAS in 2001.   Alicia is a trained nutritionist and holds a Master of Jurisprudence from Michigan State University College of Law USA.

Mr. Kenneth Cheong
Council Member

Kenneth Cheong currently heads the Asia Regulatory Affairs Function at Health and Happiness Group (H&H Group) - brand owner of Swisse, Biostime, and many others.   Kenneth excels in regulatory affairs across 7 industry sectors: Biologics, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices, Cosmetics, Health Supplements, Baby Nutrition, and Pet Nutrition. His expertise is highlighted by his certification as a CQI/IRCA Lead Auditor for ISO-13485:2016, and his previous role as a regulator at Singapore's Health Sciences Authority.

Kenneth served in a number of committees across various industries, including: Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association (APACMed); Singapore Manufacturing Federation Medical Technology Industry Group (SMF-MTIG); The Institution of Engineers, Singapore-Biomedical Engineering Technical Committee (IES-BETC); IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology (IEEE-EMBS); IEEE Young Professionals (IEEE-YP); The Cosmetics, Toiletries and Fragrance Association of Singapore (CTFAS); Health Supplements Industry Association of Singapore (HSIAS) and ASEAN Alliance of Health Supplement Associations (AAHSA).

Kenneth holds a Master's in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor's in Bioengineering, and studied and worked in Singapore, China and the United States.   Beyond his professional achievements, Kenneth is a President's Scout in Singapore, and a lifetime member of the global Association of Top Achiever Scouts. He also holds the National Youth Achievement Award - Gold in Singapore, and is currently a Senior Member of both IEEE and IES.

Mr. John Hellmann
Council Member

John is the Vice President, Government Affairs for Herbalife Nutrition in Asia Pacific, based in Singapore. In this role, John is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Government Affairs function in Asia Pacific. He acts as an ambassador and key advocate for the Company in markets around the region, helps shape the public narrative and tell the ‘Herbalife Nutrition story’ while enhancing the company reputation and brand. He also has the overall responsibility of managing and enhancing relationships with governments at federal and local levels, and setting priorities for government messaging by partnering closely with the country management within the Asia Pacific region.

Prior to joining Herbalife Nutrition, he had been part of the leadership of BowerGroupAsia (BGA), a leading government affairs consultancy, where he served as Vice President & Managing Director of BGA’s Thailand Office, based in Bangkok. Prior to that posting, he served with BGA in a variety of roles in Los Angeles, Singapore, and Washington DC. John has over 15 years of experience in government relations within the Indo-Pacific region.

John has a Master of Public Policy from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Philosophy from the University of Rhode Island. He is an avid guitarist and diver.

Ms. Camilla Parkes
Council Member

Camilla Parkes is the Senior Regulatory Manager for Asia Oceania Middle East & Africa at Nestlé Health Science, and manages the regional regulatory VMHS (Vitamin, Mineral, Herbals & Supplement) team in Asia-Pacific and Oceania. Camilla has previously worked in global, regional, and local regulatory roles at Novartis and Bayer in Switzerland, Spain, and Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology from the University of Edinburgh, and a Master of Science in Food, Nutrition and Health from University College Dublin. Camilla is a Registered Nutritionist and is passionate about the relationship between nutrition and health. She currently lives in Sydney and enjoys exploring new cultures, languages, and ocean swimming.
